Princess Mononoke is an eco-themed animated adventure/fantasy depicting a mythic battle between Animal Gods of the forest and humans in 14th century Japan. Infected with an incurable disease, Prince Ashitaka travels the Far East in search of a cure and finds himself caught in a battle between the forest animals and a mining town. He meets Princess Mononoke, a human raised by wolves who can communicate with nature spirits, and a battle erupts over the future of nature.
